When I travel, I love taking sneaky photographs.

Seester taught me the fun of “I Spy” snaps when we were in the Cinque Terre, Italy. It’s been a game ever since. Duos of any combo make me smile, laugh or raise an eyebrow wondering: What’s going on there?

If I’m lucky, I catch elderly couples showing sweet affection that melts my heart.

It’s important for me to see beyond the obvious. Admire the architecture of a massive old building, but look up to the cornices, down to the foundation, notice what surrounds the doors. Details entice, draw me in, teach something.

People can blend into a color-full crowd of bright clothing and bland faces or they can be seen for their individuality. Unique as a person. Expressions noticed, pondered upon. Living a life with a back story. What’s story do people make up about you when they catch you, unexpectedly, in a photo?
